YOUR MISSION

Reporting to the Group Accounting Senior Manager, the Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring the application of Jerónimo Martins Group’s accounting policies and procedures, as well as guaranteeing the alignment of reporting across companies in accordance with international standards (IFRS). This role also includes training and technical advisory to local companies.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide guidance to the companies on the interpretation and application of Jerónimo Martins Group’s accounting guidelines in daily activities and during the implementation of new projects or businesses;
• Support the Group Accounting Manager in ensuring consistent application of accounting guidelines across the Group, including the correct implementation of IFRS 16;
• Monitor developments in accounting standards and procedures, ensuring knowledge sharing through training sessions, work meetings, and other initiatives;
• Ensure, in close collaboration with the Group Accounting Manager, the continuous update of the Group’s Accounting Policies, incorporating changes introduced by IFRS;
• Support and review external reports and statutory accounts to ensure compliance with applicable standards and legal requirements.

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Accounting, Management or Economics, with strong knowledge of IFRS and Tax;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Audit (international context) or Accounting consultancy (IFRS);
• Experience in team management, project implementation and financial reporting;
• Solid knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced Excel skills;
• Strong analytical, communication and inter personal skills;
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
