We are looking for a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to administer and support our existing database infrastructure. The DBA will be responsible for ensuring database availability, performance and security while supporting both on-premises environments and cloud-based solutions. This role will also involve automation, monitoring and optimization of SQL Server databases as well as assisting application teams to support business continuity and operational efficiency.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Database Management and Administration: Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server environments, ensure high availability and disaster recovery, support cloud migration and hybrid architectures, Maintain service levels following ITSM best practices.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor performance and troubleshoot SQL queries, optimize indexes and query tuning.
• Automation & Scripting: Create automation scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell), Implement proactive monitoring and alerts.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure access control, encryption, and policy compliance.
• Collaboration & Support: Support development and application teams, Troubleshoot complex database issues.

WHO YOU ARE

• Degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years as SQL Server DBA.
• Skilled in administration, troubleshooting, and tuning.
• Valued: Windows Server, PaaS, DevOps, CI/CD, ITIL.
• Proficient in T-SQL, PowerShell.
• Fluent in English.
